~Lost tides of my days~
The moon rises and pulls,
The dull patina from my soul.
The waters rises and consume,
What is left of making me whole.~
As the waves crash on me,
The tide pulls me back,
To where I came to life.~
Now stuck in a frozen white sea,
Filled with only forgotten things,
Of what life really means to me.~
The sands are only a distant memory,
As I stare out the frosted window,
At the beaches swaying ,
Of winters frozen rights.~
I certainly know this is,
Not the place I belong,
Not the place for me at all.~
I need to return to where my,
Island dreams once began,
To feel the sunlight,
Bake upon my hands.~
Once again to feel my toes,
Run through the sands,
Of my life.
And feel the waters,
Sounds whisper me in.~
I need again today to see,
My lost beautiful ocean scenes,
Made of a translucent blue green,
Cary me back to the,
Land of my forefathers needs.~
Of my lost ocean scenes,
So I am not again forever,
stuck in the in between,
Of what today brings.~
To be without my feelings,
Of the tides, an enjoying,
The waves I use to ride,
of my past.~
