Nothing I Can Say
Words could never express how much you meant to meNo matter how hard you try, you will never see
When I was young, you held me tight, whenever I was sad
You told me it was all all right, and nothing is that bad
You made me soup and sang Patsy Cline
And made me smile all the time
You told me all about God and love
And you said it would be so great in Heaven above
But I didn't expect to say goodbye
And I can't clear the tears from my eyes
You were my Nana Banana, the one and only
And I'm here in Florida, feeling so lonely
My heart is shattered, and I can't fix the pain
My tears keep falling like the summer's rain
I know you're in Heaven, smiling down at me
And I know how happy you can finally be
No pain anymore, no suffering for you
You went with God just like you wanted to
But no matter what, I'll always be sad
Just thinking about the fun we always had
Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter too
Were all made more special because we had you
No what can I do, what can I say
To make the tears dry, the pain go away?
I can say I love you as I pray every night
I can think of you when the sun is bright
I can hold you in my heart and you'll never go away
But the pain is too much, and there's nothing I can say
