All Yours
Somehow I feel like I've known you foreverLike we spent our other lifetimes together
The battle scars I wear only you can see
And you have the same exact scars as me
I don't know how it happened, and I don't know why
But you make me feel like I can reach the sky
All my life, I've walked the streets alone
So dark and empty where the stars never shone
No hand to hold, no footprints behind me
I walked by myself, and I couldn't breathe
And all this time I was searching for peace
A moment of happiness that was beyond my reach
Nobody knew the pain I was going through
But the peace that I needed, I found in you
Wise beyond your years, life broke your soul
And all you want is someone to hold
Someone to understand the pain you endure
Someone to get you like no one has before
To be your hero and fight away your hurt
And show you exactly how much you're worth
You may think you're not special in anyone's eyes
And nobody cares about the tears that you cry
The nightmares still haunt you to this day
I know what you go through I feel the same way
Unlike the rest I know all your fears
I know why you cry your lonely tears
And I will be there to help you fight
Give you strength to last through the night
I'll show you how amazing you truly are
That your eyes shine brighter than any star
You are an angel with a halo of gold
And I will give you my hand to hold
There's something about you I can't explain
I don't know what it is, or what is to blame
I feel connected to you like a moth to a light
And when I'm talkng to you I feel all right
You don't know how much you make me feel free
All I want to do is be the real me
The only thing I want is for you to be happy
And every single day just smile for me
Know that even though I am far away
You are in my heart every night and day
I wanted to show you that you're special to me
And if I could I'd swim across the sea
Just to make you smile like no one before
Until then just know that this poem is all yours
