    For you

     Lost on the open sea
    bound and chained by fire,
    I will give my all for you.
    Battered and bruised
    wasted and used,
    I will fight with all my
    might for you.
    Innocence lost, courage fades
    replaced with a rocky future
    yet I still risk my heart with you.
    I can't win, I can't lose you are
    a paralyzing affliction,
    and I can't turn you loose.

    I love the wording and the imagery. We have all fought for a love that seems elusive in some way. In our reach and yet out of our reach, giving time and energy to a love not necessarily meant to be. Great write! I feel the conflict and emotion through the words...............E

    I was just writing from a place of honesty because sometimes love makes you go places you never imagined.
