Dark Angel Girl
She fell from heaven
Draped in her blackened wings
She fell into my arms
This beauty of the night
Though she can not speak
I know what she sees around her
People gossiping about how she came to be
Some whisper of things most horried
That she could have done to fall from heave
She takes it as it comes
Day by day
Picked out a gound as lovely as she
Bought some white roses she would stare at
When we go out
And a green ribbon she found in my sister's room
She stands at the window stareing into the night
As I lay sleeping
She watches over the people of our little town
I know this for she wrote it down saying
That she was sent here to do just that
She wrote her wings turned black as she fell
As well as her hair
Her gray eyes show the life she had once
They dance in the light of the moon
She likes to dance to music that I play in the main room
She wrote to me how she wished she could sing
As lovely as the people I plaied for her
She plaied my piano once
Her sad eyes looked at me as I listened
It was christmas eve when she left me
Alone I sat in the main room awaiting her return
She left behind her two white roses
Tied with the green ribbon
A note told me she was going for a walk
It didn't say she'd return
My dark angel
This beauty of the night
Who fell into my arms
Draped in her black wings
She left to complet her task
And I never saw her again
