Warrior's Pride
Fear-
Escalating,
The trepidation in value,
My heart beats,
If but for now
A moment away
From impending doom.
Darkness obscures
The essence of night,
Absence of light
My eyes have grown accustomed
To this oblivion.
Visions-
Hideous and violent,
Rampant the rage
Pouring forth from
These open wounds;
Slicing away,
Tearing away
Life’s spiritual quintessence.
Need,
Desire pulls forth
One last stance of defiance
Aggressive determination
Can withstand oppression:
My deeds will be remembered
Within the pages of history
As the seeds of victory.
Honor,
Forgiven in one precious moment,
Decisions of ole
That stains this soul.
While I have lived
Not always in honor,
My time has been well spent.
The paths before
Have not lessened my stride
No matter the obstacles
Faced along the way.
I found that I could
Always preserver
And defeat any peril
That I had to face;
Honor and valor
My saving grace.
