You Bring Me Peace
From the love you gave me,my soul spread wing's of light;
lifting me up to the Heavens;
I have come home.
For years I denied you-
mocked your holy name;
when others spoke of you
with devotion,
my pride deemed them
less than sane.
Why should I bow before you,
a fictional, fairy tale at best?
When I say your name,
your voice I do not hear-
such as this, what have I to fear?
Satan has you within his grasp,
damnation eternally!
If you do not reassess your life
your soul will never see,
the glory of the Angels,
guiding lights of peace.
Nor hear the voice
that magnifies
all the dreams you seek.
Fall upon your knees,
find forgiveness-
the veil will lift
and you will see:
God loved you all along;
lift your voice in his praise-
find the joy
your heart has craved.
