Life Is Never Over
Times passing and age, have left their battle scars.
The reflected image
peering back at me,
wears a twisted smile.
Those who see me
must think I'm but a bitter brew.
Filled with regrets,
longing to relive
my glory days.
How misleading this perception,
I regret youths passing
nor damn the aging
that comes to all.
I merely smile at what once was
and await future's call.
Instead look into my eyes
to catch a glimpse
of all the experience and wisdom
this life has garnered.
Then instead of seeing sorrow,
you'll see a life
that's just begun.
