Innuendo
Here is an aspect,
a moment’s thought
to contemplate
in your own time.
When looking into the mirror
what reflection do you take?
The image pertained in artistry
biological ancestry?
The likeness perceived by others
judged and held in lieu
for the heart that lies
beneath the wrappings
are nothing more
then but a tool.
Is there a spark of innocence
locked within the depths
of those immaculate eyes?
or did it vanish long ago
replaced by cynicism or pride.
How sad,
so short our childhood is
to romp and play
within the bounds
wf ignorance’s bliss.
The comedy and tragedies
wf adulthood last
beyond the final act.
Perhaps in this we can obtain
a joyful carefree laugh;
never stop laughing.
