The Best Jealosy
We are all just visitors hereTo be called home but too soon
Sent down to do the works
The works of a jealous god
He paid the ransom
He paid a heavy price
And all he asks of me
Is to live my life
Live by his laws
Laws of faith and goodness
Laws of peace and love
To live by the rules
Sent from above
To treat others
As you wish for yourself
To extend an arm
Share the wealth
He asks so little
And gave so much
He healed the lame and blind
Just with his touch
He is jealous for me
He longs to have me for his own
He wishes to know his children
Then bring them on home
Love like a hurricane
Grace an undending rain
I am but a man
Made steadfast as the mountain
The Rock of Ages
The Great Messiah
Emmanuel
God Among Us
He has paid my ransom
And all he asks in return
Is to live by his laws
and be eager to grow and learn
Eager to know him more
Ready to learn from our mistakes
To pass the gift along
And do what it takes
Do what is needed
To grow and love
Do what is asked
To claim stake above
He has your home built
Built upon the rocks
All you have to do
Is shed your chains and locks
For he is jealous for me
He longs to know my name
Lord of all creation
Wants you to claim
Claim his as your one and only
Shout if from the rooftops
Share what you've got
With the ones have not
Everyday thank him
Be thankful of what you possess
And every night
Pray for the ones he does has yet to rest
For he is jealous for us
He longs to know your name
Lord of all creation
Wants us for his personal claim
