Sunset Salutation
Rosy disc of fiery calm
Burning serenity sought to
Kiss the horizon
It hovered like mist does
In the first break of dawn
And breathed fuschia feelings
All throughout the sky
Painted the ethers
A chameleon canvas
Fluid fluctuation of shades
Transmuting, transforming
Shape-shifting and morphing
Heaven's aura is fully displayed
The tones of the colors
Change instantaneously
Unfold effortlessly
And saturate the atmosphere
With vibrant stillness
A visual spectacle
That captures breath
And enchants the depths
Of one's senses
Love-colored globe now courts
The illusionary line
That separates all
That is land and sky
As fire does fall
Diamond drops start to shine
Heavens wrapped in a shawl
Of black blanket of night
All colors withdraw
And drift to sleep with the sun
The curtain did fall
The next shift has begun
Celestial lullabies
Sung by the stars
To put daylight to rest
In sweet slumber afar
Moonlit melodies
Ease light rays into trance
Night-time activities
Call happy shadows forth to dance
Under canopy of ebony
Laced with sugar sprinkles
Starlight sparkles generously
Reflecting flecks of twinkles
This painted kingdom
Of open realms
Brings dreamstuff and repose
To the orbicular inferno
So it may recharge and collect
All the energy of blaze
Let it build and self-direct
So it may explode again as Day
Unleashing vibrant light
Combustible emmissions
Infiltrate all of Night
Igniting shadow to shine
While moon now courts that line
Unending cycle
Pulse of the Earth
Every Day and every Night
Experience both death and birth
