Mr. Mystic
Hey Mr. Mystic
Reveal your mystery and magic
Please teach to me what I must be
To heal a history so tragic
Crack me open
Fill me up
Like a crystal
Goblet cup
Let my eyes drink your stars
And feast on your moon
I'll be dancing on Mars
And not a moment too soon
For celestial sidesteps
Kept in proper timing
Can erase shadowed concepts
By brilliantly shining
The white light of enlightenment
Upon those who are pining
For Truth beyond Reason
It's a treasure beguiling
It comes forth like the seasons
Its force keeps me smiling
Hey Mr. Mystic
Whisper your secrets in my ear
Kiss my mind with truth sublime
Erasing any fear
Tell me tales
Spun from gold
Of fiery stars
Blazing bold
And lines of horizons
Etched in platinum
Of flowers so soft
They're mistaken for satin
Sing me the songs
Of the birth of the Earth
And each blade of grass,
Please show me its worth
So I can take a drink
Of everything you think
Elevate me in a blink
Quenching my soul's thirst
Hey Mr. Mystic
Please draw a map for me
Show me the way
Through the crazy maze
Where I emerge down by the sea
Cast my concerns
Into the waves
Let them disperse
See how they behave
When they are no longer
Attached to me
Nor I to them
And we can both be free
Thank you Mr. Mystic
For your ever-lasting wisdom
For teaching without preaching
And opening your kingdom
To all who would enter
To search for their center
I asked, "Where is my power?"
And you handed me a mirror
