Painting American History!
A Painting Of Our History.I will be do a painting of our history,
Of many battles lost and won and many victories,
Even though at times beset by years of pointless war,
Stagnation of economy have torn our stripes and stars.
I will paint a history of our prosperity,
Of racial inequality that's void of integrity.
But yes, there are signs of progress, towards racial harmony,
The process of integration have changed our destiny
And I'll paint a time in history that made,
The rich men were made richer and the poor men couldn't trade.
I'll include the time when America's first black president,
Guided this vessel through storms and torrents with enormous dents,
I'll paint the times when tempests raging near and far,
And of those standing idly by and left the bow ajar!
Painting the times when the Commander-In-Chief,
Guided this ship to harbor from destructive coral reefs!
I'll paint the picture of our true prosperity,
The artistic revolution and of art contemporary,
I'll paint the times of boom for new technologies,
The greatest decade that closed a century of real prosperity!
Must I complete that painting with just victory today?
Of destructive buoys we've missed in our voyage along the way?
For as this ship is guided through raging tempests night and day,
He'll guide this ship to destiny through monumental sways!
Hope I could finish this work with brightened stars,
And hope that it's conclusion is, of our world that's free of wars!
Surely I'll finish it with much desired prosperity,
Hoping those that lead it may generate infrastructural recovery,
This is what I need on this canvas I will paint,
Bringing smile to the disillusioned, and hope to the faint.
