For The Love Of A Sibling
When I was without a friend and ignored by so many,Desperately needed your help and advice, but had not any,
In the darkest of time when trials engulfs my soul,
And the feeling of hopelessness attempt to take control
You ignored my presence and answered not the door,
Throwing away the blood connection established before.
My earthly possessions disapppeared with the crisis of the time,
My isolation seemed forever like it was a crime,
I looked and stared hopelessly brother for you,
But ignoring your blood in crisis not at all new.
A manifestation of loving self alone,
It's sadly the way my brother you've grown,
As I venture in this vast foreign land and needed some direction,
So oblivious of who I am, a truly poor reflection,
Of the tenderness and courage mother taught us to share,
By blessing and building up one another with care.
Brother of my bosom and family blood,
Thicker than water as nourishing as food,
Losing your way in the fragments of time,
Staring back at me as if I commited a crime,
to seek to be identified with you,
Acting like you're someone that I never knew,
Turn back the clock and remember your humble beginnings,
Those rough and rocky times before you made your winnings
.
Go forth brother and examine your soul,
Let the spirit of true love take complete control,
We are fragile human beings susceptible to falls,
Just as I am you're prone to changes like us all.
So my dear brother, I'm talking but you turned your back,
Thank God you can turn around without hearing a big CRACK,
That could be your back bone, that could be the spine,
Pay attention my beloved one, aren't we from one vine?
Just seeking to remind you that we are frail human beings,
Not cherishing the best of things runs in our genes
