Morning on the Dock
I hail the dawning
on a tottering dock
breathing the newness
of time
the whispering waters
and buoyant breeze
catch up my spirit
to joy
with arms outreaching
face turned to the sky
make way for the light
of grace

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
