    heartache

    it’s been so long
    I thought I’d be strong
that’s’s just the way it is
    sometimes I’m alright
    sometimes in the night
I wish I could see you again
    a shell of bright blue
    against an eclipse of alone
    I’ve always been a dreamer
    dreaming is not
    what you are about
    so I’ll just recycle
    some second hand dreams
    for the both of us
I know that love is a game
my heart is not the same
the memory is fanning the flame
    so I stand in line
    waiting
    for my heart to die
    again
    I look for someone new
    but no one
    looks like you

if I ever said that I know
where there is a small cabin in the Snowy Mountain Range
where you can watch the Elk graze
    warm the chill with a
    potbellied stove
    a heavy quilt
    a glass of Brandy
and listen to the sound of
    absolutely nothing
    would you ever
    meet me
    there

Desperado... why don't you come to your senses, you been out riding fences... etc. If I were going to make a mistake "F. L. honey" then I would do it out there where, as Teardrops states, "you can hear a fly cough" with some crazy poetry writing cowboy like you.

Hello again T-64. Finally had a morning that I could sit back and read some fine poetry this morning. Been a couple weeks since I had time to spend and decided to catch up on all you have placed on here this month. Enjoyed them all and got a good feel for the life you've led, places you've been, loves you've had, and what your aching for again. After catching up with your work, it inspired me to try to put down in pen a 30 yr old story of mine intitled "Painful Gifts" on my site. Blessings, W.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
