    all night drive

    I picked her up
    at the corner of Main
    and Nowhere
    She had the right configuration
    I had the
    acceleration
    all the way down
we tore up the back roads
    busted through the sound barrier
    running down the night
    singing those old songs
    slapping the wheel
    running to kill
    we got stopped
    I wanted to fight
    just me and the law
    she said no
    (but with a grin)
    we paid the fine
    they let us go
I got back on the road again
the stars were dying up ahead
    stopped to eat
at a mom and pop spread
    she headed for the
    certified
(let us know if it ain't clean)
    restroom
    I drained my coffee
    dropped a
    hundred dollar bill
    popped a bennie
slipped on out into the early morning chill
spun it out of the lot
    got back on the road
    dialed in the moon
    cranked up the radio
    nuff' time left
    for one more rodeo

    Thank you Sherlock..Train

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
