Truth Behind All Hallows Eve
The truth of it all,Is too much skin
And too little sensibility.
Your favorite character from a movie,
A classic skeleton,
Or the sluttiest outfit you can buy.
Short dresses,
Plunging necklines,
Fishnets,
"Appealing" attire.
Going to door to door
Asking strangers
For sweets
For candy
Going against everything your parents taught you.
Cartons full of eggs,
Rolls of toilet paper,
Slashing tires with knives,
The after-hours things the "punks" get into.
The past of it all,
Was warding away spirits
When the veil between worlds was its thinest.
The truth of it all,
Is candy and spiders,
And punks and hard cider.
