THE PREY
THE PREY
The creature lives for destruction
a demon within his soul
It feeds on others misery
never feeling whole
His hunger is ravenous
obsessive in his search
The creature blends within
Our home, our soul,our church
Mesmerized by his charm
the creature in disguise
Turn your back he will attack
ignoring helpless cries
The creature is a coward
his hypnotizing voice
In the end you question all
was the destruction of your choice
Imprisoned by this creature
you're filled with guilt and shame
How naive can one be
consumed with faultless blame
The prey lacking self esteem
the control completely gone
The creature's narcissistic way
the prey believes his cons
The creature will solicit
with captivating charm
To convince the trusting prey
the creature holds no harm
The creature still entices
bored by this one game
His patience now is lacking
he feels the need to maim
The creature changes face
his anger has increased
Tell me where your family is
I hunger for a feast
The prey is now enraged
empowered by sheer hate
Love for its family
has never held debate
The creature feels great fear
the prey steps in his shoes
The creature runs like the wind
all true cowards do
The prey keeps the creature's shoes
not for power or for threat
Not to seek or dwell
simple never to forget
