She's My Baby
Let me tell you about herBut there aren't enough words
To describe how I feel
About this love so deep and real
I'm the youngest of them all
She is short and I am tall
She has mama's kind heart
Always good from the start
She is my brother's twin
But you can't see her in him
He has mama's native skin
And his love is deep with in
She is slow and can not read
But so much she knows and I take heed
So smart in so many ways
I'll listen to her advise any day
She's the shortest of the girls
She's had troubles in her world
And she tells me please don't leave
And I say I love you Gracie
But for now I have to go
My sister I love you so
She is younger but older than me
Gracie...she is my baby
She wraps her arms around me tight
Gracie you saw me the other night
I promise to be back soon
She says I hope before a blue moon
Tomorrow is coming a new day born
Church bell will ring for Sunday morn
I'll be there she said to me
I can't wait I want to hear you sing
She stood and watched me from the door
Smiling, I couldn't love her any more
Than what I already do
She waved and mouthed I love you
I smiled as I drove away
Tomorrow will bring another day
And I will see her for a little while
She'll be all decked out in Gracie's style
She will grin from ear to ear
For the music she loves to hear
Then down stairs with me hand in hand
With her coffee by me she'll stand
A child grown up in so many ways
She can't wait to see me come another day
She is younger but older than me
Gracie...she is my baby
