I Wonder Where You Are
Twinkle twinkle little starHow I wonder where you are
Out there alone on the lonely streets
Frustrated, crying, and no where to sleep
I know we had some troubles here
You wanted room to grow my dear
You said I don't understand your ways
I know all to well, I lived them in my early days
You don't like the rules, you don't want school
You want your friends before family and that's cool
You stomped around when your butt I had to ground
Up stairs you went screaming, throwing things around
I followed you, up the stairs I went
Only to find you wasted and spent
I shook you as tears streamed down my face
But you called me a b**** and can't wait to leave this place
You said I didn't understand
And that I don't care
You told me to F_ _K off
I raised my hand, slapped, and you stared
You left and I cried
A part of me died
Oh if only you knew
What I was trying to do
My twinkle twinkle little star
Come home from where ever you are
I have been there and I have done that
And the lonely streets isn't where love is at
No matter what was said or done
No matter what battles were lost and won
I was angry and being a mom is what I do
But no matter how angry I am, I will always love you
Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder where you are
Out there alone on the lonely streets
Frustrated, crying, and no where to sleep
Up above your world so high
Falling deeper from your sky
Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder where you are
