"I Never Wrote A Love Poem..."
I Never Wrote A Love Poem…Like the pristine blue of sixteen pools…
Your crystalline hue is glistening through
The reflection in my eyes paints a shimmering you
You make my blood boil, then turn it to a simmering brew
I’m so enraptured now…I’m hemorrhaging you
My heart clears way for the missile he shoots…
straight at my head…dismissing he’s proof…
of this projectile called love, kissing deep roots
Like the crisp clean hue of pristine blue
You’re shimmering through and glistening too
The reflection in my eyes paints a blistering you
You set my soul on fire, then extinguish with dew
I’m hopeless captured now…wrapped in kudzu
My art gives way to a painting unto…
she who’s spell I could never undo…
because this x-file called love is finally getting just due.
She carries no name because for this it’s uncouth…
I never wrote a love poem…
but this could be you.
