"Kiss The Demons And Make Them Cry"
Kiss The Demons And Make Them Cry

Kiss the demons and make them cry.

Turn their bloodlust and hatred into a vacant plight...

because when none of them are left...

we'll experience the safest night.

We were entitled to peace...

but let them rape our right...

drape our knights...

in the dullest suits of armor...

and capes of spite...

take our light...

to prevent us from taking flight.

The weight of the world isn't something...

we should have grown accustomed to making light.

Silver bullets or silver linings...

which one is for making bright...

from dark skies...

and turning sight...

to humanity's brave new heights...

which a blind man can see...

that we're not reaching.

I'm just crying out from the inside...

I'm not preaching.

Kiss the demons and make them cry.

Kill them with kindness...

pudding...and...

pie.

They painted this picture of chilling I scribe...

we're admiring their artistry...

all the while we chide...

"They...villains...not...I."

We all hate for the demons to rise...

but we all hate so the demons still rise...

we made the fate that deemed them ill lives...

so we take the cake and eat till demise

The Devil's got an army...

we all salute him at times...

and do battle with our shadows...

behind enemy lines...

heads on a mantle piece...

bucking for prize...

sun shades won't keep the flames from these gluttonous eyes.

Put an end to the madness...

let bygones die...

put the dogs of the world to sleep...

let them lie...

Kissing the demons and making them cry...

only happens when you kiss the demons...

goodbye

Two amazing things here, I want to hit on- first, the fact that in several areas you almost(if not totally) make the reader question- who the demons are, in the sense 'WE' are the demons/ or at least we sure the heck mingle with them! The inner struggle known as temptation .. as you state - we sometimes side with them - but one must resist to see the light - so kiss the demons and make them cry! :) Hey btw ...I resembel that remark "drape our knights... in the dullest suits of armor" ...
