broken
broken, shattered, tornpieces lie about
beneath my feet
under salty tears
shed over loss
of something so dear
that made me whole
made me complete
the pieces can be brought together
but never will they fit the same
broken
broken, shattered, tornPoetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
