There may be only one reality that will resolve all problems some day, but one small reality will help us along the way. I find that I am usually too close to my concerns. But if our space program has taught us anything, it is that the further away we get from our problems, the less significant they seem.

When we view the Big Blue Marble from a couple of miles away, all we see is a magnificent view of our home. At that moment, as we view the earth, we don't think about our irritations. In the wonder of it, how can we ever nourish our pettiness again?

When we get too close and caught up in ourselves, might we think about what it took to take the  picture - the risks, and sometimes the sacrifices of talented, lovely people who left their lives on earth to pursue that which is beyond themselves?

We think we have enemies here and try to justify our hatred - but, from space we are all one people, one land without borders. No separations what-so-ever.
