Was it murder or suicide March 25th 2009
Lying in bed I watch you eternally sleeping
I’m across the room in the chair silently weeping.
The curtains you picked remain drawn
Keeping out growing embers of new day born.
Reminisce of days gone by, the fun we shared
Watching you from brunette to silver haired.
Years together, suffered sorrow enjoyed glee
All that time has gone so quickly for me.
So many mornings watching you awaking
Nights remembered of passionate lovemaking.
Beauty forever captured in your final pose
A life with me was the one you chose.
The pain of life without you too much to bear
Next part of the journey I want us to share.
They will be here soon I did the right thing
Picking up the telephone I gave them a ring.
People won’t understand, but I care no more
Looking down at the blood and knife on the floor.
