Autumn Sunset
Air brings on it far off bark
A swing lies still in the park
Distant bruise meanders by
In autumnal sun’s final lullaby
Smell upon the wind of rotting leaf
Greened bark stands out in relief
Evening bird twitters at daylight sleep
Last light is nighttimes to reap.
Purple tinge simmers distant sky
Firing up clouds passing by
Magic moment so quick to go
Sunsets glory too brief to know.
As night time is upon the verge
Once bright leaves begin to merge
Colours now begin to blend
Waiting for sunlight to start to mend.
In a whispers moment, gone another day
Breathe uncaught in dazzling display
Good night my child, off to sleep
For the day just gone I begin to weep
