TECHNOLOGY CAGE
Maybe I'm out of it,
Maybe it's my age.
But were all stuck;
In a technology cage.
When we learn about;
births,weddings, and funerals,
From a face book page.
Were all stuck in,
The technology cage.
The amount of information,
We put on a thumb drive;
Is insane.
We used to store all that information;
In our brain.
Today we don't find information
in a book.
We simply google it;
And take a look.
What's a book;
Why turn a page?
When you can kindle it.
Were all stuck;
In a technology cage.
Why watch a performance on a stage?
When you can YouTube it.
In this technology cage.
Don't you think,
It's kind of dumb;
Getting cramps from texting,
in our thumbs.
Texting; instead of dialing a number,
Just to say hi!
Better yet,
To see who you're talking to;
To look them in the eye.
Maybe this poem,
Will put you in a rage.
Because,
I'm typing it;
On a computer
at a website.
In this technology cage.
Maybe it's my age.
But were all stuck;
In a technology cage.
When we learn about;
births,weddings, and funerals,
From a face book page.
Were all stuck in,
The technology cage.
