Mirror To Nowhere
Lurking just past here,Behind that thing-a mirror,
Sprawls a world of endless wonder,
It's beings are watching us,
Even as we rush,
To peer in and fumble with our plunder,
Our finger tips tingle,
All of these insatiable desires mingle,
Until fantasy boasts afore our eyes,
Mocking us with a beckoning hand,
Towing us gently toward that land,
Little do we know it is an il-demise,
A trickery quite good,
One that worked as it should,
Tainting all our brains to look away,
Neglected was our own world,
Beaten by some place less real than (borld),
Reverently, we must turn and face the light of day.
