Closing Night
The spotlights were burning A hole in my heart It finally broke through As the curtain call starts My blood spilling out Onto the stage Mounting my raw feet To the place I've been caged I don't want let out I'm happier inside With fevrent song and dance Instead of thoughts of demise But alas my run was over With no way to delay it A druggie's sensual lust Had me take one last hit Letting it seep in Through my lungs down to my toes Each chord and vibration Making my eyes astutely close. - There is no such word as fevrent, perhaps, it is a mis-pelled or you meant to use the word fervent. putting that aside I consider this a well written poem.

- very good, I like the description and the emotion that comes from it, short and sweet well maybe not sweet, but still very good..keep it up.
