HANNA MARIE
Sit here beside me, lend me your ear,
I’ll tell you about Hanna, our baby angel so dear.
Her time here on earth was too short it did seem,
She spends time with me daily, but only in dreams.
Let me tell you about her and soon you will see,
We would love to have her with us, our little Hanna Marie.
If only there were a chance back to earth she could come,
To play with her daddy, my youngest son.
I’ve often watched her grow within my evening dreams,
She would sit on my lap and share a bowl of ice cream.
In my dreams we go shopping and to a movie show,
Sometimes we go fishing, or play in the snow.
I long to have her with us, to sit beside me in my chair,
I would tell her stories of her daddy as I combed her long hair.
I can close my eyes and see her holding onto daddy’s knee,
He smiles as he tells her, "I love you Hanna Marie."
I thank God for the fact that we had you awhile,
You will always be in our hearts, our special angel child."
I look forward to evenings, when in my dreams I can see,
The beautiful face of our angel, our little Hanna Marie.
