DREAMS
I have dreamed the dream so many times, of you and I together,
We strolled along the sandy beach no matter what the weather.
We lay beside the fireplace, arms locked in tight embrace,
Tonight was all that mattered now, as I gazed upon your face.
In dreams so many other nights we were fishing from a boat,
But laying down our fishing poles, made love while still afloat.
Other nights the dreams go on, each one of different structure,
But the outcome was always the same, we made love to each other.
Being apart is torture, your arms I want to feel,
Not only in my dreams at night, but to touch you for real.
To touch your face, kiss your lips and feel the strength within you,
To have you laying beside me now would be a dream come true.
Other dreams have filled my night, different emotions I did reach,
As we took a blanket to the shore and made love upon the beach.
We have stolled along the waterfront, walking side by side,
Holding hands, stopping to kiss, emotions we could not hide.
Dreams of you I will always have as we hold in tight embrace.
Still I look forward to the day I see your handsome face.
