Going Home
going home
joy has sought me out
and I welcome her embrace
she settles in like a whisper
not needing to be chased
she carries with her peace
to comfort the angst soul
tomorrow’s work will come
soon enough and so
I will melt into her presence
and forget all my woes
not for exuberance
nor sense of delight
she simply passes through
to calm you
she waits for you to welcome
her friend, gratitude
so that she may bring hope
and the wisdom that exudes
proof of her presence
and the manifestation that ensues
