For His Glory....a prose piece.
What a strange and unusual calling…
To be called to a ministry.
One never knows what it is supposed to look like.
Pastorship, evangelism, service
So many paths, so many choices.
It is God’s intent that we learn to be steadfast and patient
For His promise.
I know my day will come and that I will feel like it came so suddenly, without warning.
But I know that that is not the truth.
People will be able to see that I have been diligent, without persuasion and always with a passion for what I was called to do.
If it is writing, I am truly humbled. Far less has been passed down through the ages without the benefit of same. When I first read the passage when God instructed His scribe to write, it’s as if he spoke to me. He spoke to me, saying that only those things that are worthy should be written of. Good as well as bad will use the tool of the written word. The written word is used for many purposes, and your word shall be used to promote all of the good things of God.
I am humbled because I know that photos will fade, oral histories will change. But, what is recorded in the written word is the truth, if even for just that one moment. I am to record what is good, and only what is good from this moment on out. The bad moments will come, but they are not to be contemplated. Our strength only comes from our ability to remember them for what they were and walk away from the darkness and confusion that they created.
I am not to be an orator, although song will be my praise. I am not to be a politician, although the law will guide my ways. My voice will be my prose, to those who have an ear, who need which way to go…
A humble voice on their journey. A very humble voice. Who knows…
