Baby Boy
Baby Boy
It doesn't seem fair that you're leaving me
Your heart demands you, to see what you see
Anywhere but here would do you just fine
But you're going "home," is this God's Design?
I guess that it is, the old bird in the nest
It's my job to let go, yours to do your best
I don't let you go with heavy heart alone
I wish all the happiness the world has to show
But oh how I'll miss just knowing you're near
And touching your face, and saying "you're dear."
But this is Life's way....we all must grow up
It seems only yesterday you were just a mere pup
I hope you are happy, I hope you find joy
For you have brought such love to me, Baby Boy
But never forget, if you feel alone
Your bed is still waiting...just pick up the phone.
