    Poem Commentary

    Instead of sending a regular thank you note to friends, I often chose to write them a poem. Found this in an old poetry jpurnal of mine when I moved recently.

    A Note To Nancy

     I liked the walk down to your dock

    The frilly satin dress-up frocks

    The ingenious plastic outdoor biffy

    How you stayed calm when the weather got "iffy"

    Water bugs and rhubarb muffins

    Wet beach towels and sandy swimfins

    You trusted us to drive your boat

    And wear the black tuxedo coat

    The chit-chat mom-talk, play and laughter

    Retelling tales the next day after

    Thanks with great appreciaiton

    Have lots of fun on your vacation!
