WHISPERED NOTHINGS
Whispered words fall from your lips and lay like lies upon my pillow,
Whispered words you do not mean that fill my heart with sorrow.
I press my lips against yours in attempt to stop the lies,
But though your lips are silent, I see deception in your eyes.
Please close your eyes so I can believe that what we have is really something.
Just close your eyes, and I will believe all your whispered nothings.
