imprisoned
A young girl stands alone, tears streaming down her face,
Imprisoned by a past even time cannot erase.
Cries of sorrow echo through a vast and empty soul,
Brought upon by memories she just can't quite let go.
I reach out to help her, but she withdraws into her shell to hide.
Afraid to show that she is weak, she keeps her sorrow locked inside.
She fights her own hard battles, expecting nothing from anyone.
In the dark and lost in grief, a young girl stands alone.
