The Journey
Showing secretsIn despite of weakness
Climbing ladders
Soul is full
Not filled with bull
And dirt
And grime
Or thoughts
Sublime.
Even keel
Don't spin the
Wheel.
Headed for
Another flood
It must be done
At least I have a ship and lifeboat
Just to stay afloat.
This time I'm ready,
Willing, able...
Lead the horse
Back to the stable.
Telling what is kept in secret
Comes to life-
Bringing ending to the strife.
Lightning inward
Through the tunnel
Ending the internal struggle.
Walking over to the pond
To reach oasis's beyond.
Laying down my hat indeed
Planting many scattered seeds.
Maybe some will take their root
Finding, knowing what is good.
Winding hands up in the clock
Meeting you up at the dock
Having coffee is a breeze
Meeting you with hands of ease.
Looking in your eyes this day
Getting through another way
With you standing at my side
Being with a friend in stride.
Warming me beneath my skin.
Wondering what room I'm in.
Seeking where nowhere to find
Looking is not for the blind.
Shedding coats of many colors
You are nothing like another.
I will sit up in the tree
Seeing all what I can see.
Living in another realm
As I play backward the film.
Of the things I thought were hurt
We can bury them in dirt.
Helping me is so precise
Eating chicken, then the rice.
Thankfully, I stumbled on
A life I thought could not be done.
Friends were not of what I thought
Writing, singing from the gut.
Never ending is the way.
Close the door.
It's time to
Play.
