Take my Hand

Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem aimlessly. But it led me to this...

Take my Hand

Take my hand.
I'll help you out,
show you what life is all about,
seperate the ripple from the waves,
introduce reality inside the daze.

Take my hand.
I'll see you through,
sneek peak into a world you never knew,
give you a whole new perception,
introduce a brand new conception.

Take my hand.
I have your back.
Wipe your tears? No, you'll do that,
because I'll give you all the strength you need,
I'll give you a push, but you'll take the leap.

I'll tell you things you've never heard before,
show you the way, but you'll open the door.
When you're scared, I know you'll run away.
Feel rebellious? I knew you'd stray.

But when your done and all washed down,
I'll be right here waiting for the sound,
of the lost door creaking open again,
while you make your humble entrance,
I sit by the fire. What's wrong? You thought I'd scold?
No. I'm glad. "It's time you came in from the cold."
