Much too Much
It's much, too much to consider all that I do,to let the bad in, and goodness subdue.
It's much, too much to dwell on a thought
that destroys my mind, yet still lifts me up.
It's much, too much to always hear what's wrong.
How about a change of talk? How about a new song?
Let's change the mood, and forget about money.
Instead of partly cloudly, why not partly sunny?
I'm tired of the bad, bad talk, bad thoughts,
bad people, bad grades, bad cars, bad jobs.
I want to live in the sun and eat light for breakfast
For lunch, energy,
For dinner, love steadfast.
Is it much, too much to ask?
Yeah, I know.
Gotta endure the rain before the sun will show.
