Cramps and Heartache
That's all she feels.
I mean, how is she supposed to feel
When you tell her- (rewind let's re-feel)
She's lost the spark in your eyes.
But the spark is clearly in hers.
Men.
They can never tell when they got a good one.
There was a time you were crazy about her.
What's wrong with you?
Are you in denial?
Refusing to believe she's walked the mile,
to believe she's done ninety and you've done ten.
You've hurt her heart by what you've said.
This is hard enough as it is
living so far away;
don't make it harder for her to stick around, for her to stay.
She won't wait forever, in fact
not too much longer while she knows
you'd rather be doing other things
and that's just how life goes.
It goes on and on and on.
If you broke her heart there would be another
the Lord would send to heal and replace
what you couldn't do for her.
Believe that she'll be ok.
Her heartache and cramps will go away.
For now just try to keep away
from the phone to call her anyday.
Unless you yearn to hear her voice
and thirst to hear the sound of her laugh
and ache in agony at the thought of her sadness,
until the silence drives you into utter madness.
Till it takes you back in time,
to those happy, poem-writing days,
love letters,
enthusiasm,
those crazy-in-love ways.
She understands what you're going through
and all that you wish to do.
Sleep. Rest and be happy always.
She only wishes to be a desired part of your day.
