PRELUDE TO SLEEP
In the waning hours of day, in the dusky twilight dim
After days mad disarray, I lean lovingly on him.
As the setting sun is casting flames of umber on the clouds
A love everlasting, sweetly slumbers, soft and proud.
“Speak aloud what's in your heart” my weary mind cries out
But love, more so than any art, requires time and care to sprout.
So in his arms I safely rest,inhaling deep, his manly essence
Strong fingers gently cup my breasts, night falls in luminescence.
His eyes seek mine in hopes to find what they are longing for;
Lips warmed by wine are thus entwined, spirits begin to fly then soar.
In this gloaming, two hearts roaming,as the twilight softly creeps.
Ocean waves in sands are combing while the surf is gently foaming
Two souls entwined, meshed so deep, as to make the angels weep
In nightly fashion, igniting passions in this,a lovers prelude to sleep.
