ON CABO BAY
As sun sinks low in Cabo Bay,
We watch the colors slowly leak,
In hues that take our breath away
Sepias, orange, gold and peach.
The ships are bathed in harbor lights
As in the distance music floats.
This land was made for moonlit nights
As secrets spill from lovers' throats
The whales have put their babes to sleep;
The ocean waves now lap the shore.
A smile, a kiss, we dare not speak;
Is this a dream, or something more?
As far-off laughter fills the air,
Pacific breezes gently waft
And softly tangle with my hair;
We sip the wine from our carafe
If Heaven held no room for us;
If ever we were turned away,
Joyfully we'd stay here thus;
In peace and love on Cabo Bay.
