ASH and SILK
Last night, in dreams, I was a Queen;
My kingdom such a wonderland!
The Knight's well-muscled, tall and lean,
My ladies dressed in manner grand.
No one was hungry, no one scared;
All safe and sound in this domain.
No one was angry,peace was shared;
As 'round us, winged angels sang.
And all around the palace walls,
Candles placed to light the paths;
Ten thousand lit as evening falls,
A night for holding lovers fast.
Silk are your lover's lips on yours,
Such skillful kisses, playful pats.
Then rain clouds burst, begin to pour;
Candles sputter, turn to ash.
It seemed so real and felt so right;
Freely flowing wine and milk.
'Till sun's intrusion chased moon's light
Leaving naught but ash and silk.
