Mood Swing
Mood Swing
By Shericka Murphy
I’m happy enough to laugh with you
And enough to find the good in all you do.
Yet sad enough that I will weep
And cry myself into my sleep.
I’m mad enough to curse you out
Enough to scream, to hit, and to shout.
Yet I’m scared, scared enough to run away
And to drown out all the things you say
But I can be happy, happy enough to forget it all
And to embrace the fact that I’m five feet tall
But then I can be sad, sad enough to cry for days
To hurt myself in many ways
And then mad, mad enough to want you dead
To go to sleep with a frown inside your bed
But I’m scared, I’m scared enough to ever let you know
That you are in my heart….and it won’t let you go.
