Echopraxia
Echopraxia
By Shericka Murphy
I’d advise you not to mimic me
My moves aren’t always right you see
Sometimes I veer a little off the track
So I can gain the common sense I lack
Echopraxia has taken over you
And so everything you see…you do
Everything you are is all a lie
No truth to you but the tears you cry
So I’d advise you to go choose your own path
Give me my water and go take your own bath
Echopraxia has imbrued your mind
And so your own destiny is hard for you to find
So how about you go and run along
Don’t add to my verse, go write your own song
So I’d advise you to stop being my shadow and go step into yours
And wipe down the sweat that seeps through your pores
Echopraxia has sunken into your brain
And so all life can bring you is failure and pain.
