Lonely Rain
Gentle rain weeps upon the soil.No sorrow is claimed in the water's flow.
Loneliness is the companion in a moist glow.
What if tomorrow would bring a welcome guest?
Would rain lay in rest?
Would we call upon its waters?
Would seedlings pass their test?
I have no desire to see the rain retire.
Will sun work her rays to bring the warmth of May?
Deep in April, the loneliness of rain brings new life to ease her pain.
Someday soon the meadows will regain.
Some will say, It is nothing more than nurturing waters of the rain.
