(American) Indian Nation, By Sonja Carnes
(American) Indian Nation
It is a breathtaking sight as the sun rises over the mountains!
I can feel the warmth, love, and solace of the moment.
I gaze through my window And hear the cries of a dying
Indian Nation.
I hear the beating of the drums, the chanting of the Men, the
weeping of the Women and Children.
Their spirits inherit the Earth.
Holding dear their home, Their Land
That was a part of them, the Land and the people are still
Connected. They held the beauty of Nature's best in their
Hearts, So Mother Nature, embraced them in eternity.
So at the light of dawn, their spirits gather, to claim
The Land that was stolen, long ago!
The Indian Nation has inherited their land.
Even in Death, they take a stand.
