It’s Over!"
My searchm it’s Over..,
I have reached the end of my road
Through hills and valleys, I have toiled.
Alone the way, so many times,
I’ve kissed too many princely toads.
It started such a long time ago,
Traveling toward womanhood,
I wanted feel loved, but don’t we all?
I was bright, carefree, and all aglow
There must be love somewhere for me
Single and free can I ever become we?
So many times I prayed to God
Would I be granted that exact plea?
Now I’m older yet single still, how cold,
I wonder if this life is real?
Soulmates exist they told me so
Yet I don’t have a man to love and to hold.
Silly girl you’ve been there before
I know because you told me so.
Just reminding you only,
But who’s keeping score?
Now you say it’s was like red dover?
It was beautiful, short-lived, but soon over.
The road stopped as the snow’s flurry
Searching for him so icy glazed over.
Going it alone is my sad story.
I have seen downs and I have seen glory.
The road to nowhere is my all over.
No left still looking in all the wrong places?
